The ladies of SCBC are having an Autumn Recipe Exchange at the Houser’s beginning at 10:30 a.m. this Saturday, 22 Oct 11. Lunch will follow, and all ladies are invited! RSVP to Gail.
On 23 October, there will be a special appreciation luncheon for all volunteers who have served as teachers at SCBC in the past ear in Sunday School, CLG leadership, Youth, Pre-School, and Nursery. The luncheon will follow the morning worship service at a restaurant yet to be determined. Please contact George for more information.
The monthly men’s breakfast will be held this coming Saturday, 15 Oct 11, beginning at 8:00 a.m. We hope that all men of the church will join us for a wonderful morning of fellowship, worship, and testimony.
On 16 Oct 11, everyone is encouraged to invite family and friends to the church for a special worship service and luncheon. You are especially requested to focus on bringing unbelievers to church so they can hear the Gospel of Christ proclaimed, witness the worship of our glorious God, and experience the warmth of God’s love from the saints.
Immediately following the worship service, the Korean ladies’ fellowship will host the luncheon. While the ladies will prepare the main dishes, we will need people to bring side dishes and drinks. Please contact George to sign up to bring a side dish or drinks.
Finally, please let us know how many people you plan to bring so we can prepare gifts for our special guests and the ladies fellowship can adequately plan the food needed for the lucheon.
A special Concert of Prayer will be held next Sunday, 9 Oct 11, in the English sanctuary at 3:30 p.m. All church members are invited to join in seeking God’s face in prayer as a church family.
A Ministry for Mothers is beginning on 6 Oct 11. The “moms” group’s goal is to glorify God by providing a time for encouragement and growth as mothers. The Ministry for Mothers will be held at the church on the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of the month at 10 a.m. This is open to moms of all ages, and childcare will be provided. The Korean-American Friendship Festival will be held from 24-25 Sep 11. Songtan Central Baptist Church (SCBC) will be spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ by evangelizing, passing out informational fliers and offering free drinks. Other SCBC activities will include a barbecue fund-raiser for our missions and youth ministry. The Osan Air Force Base Gospel Service Choir will also be ministering to the community with musical praise at the festival on Saturday, 24 Sep 11, from 4-6 p.m. at the Songtan International Community Center. This event is free and open to the public.

Tres Dias and Vida Nueva are just around the corner:
– The 57th Women’s English Speaking Tres Dias (WESTD) will be held from 17-20 Nov 11.
– The Men’s Tres Dias (MESTD) will be held from 1-4 Dec 11.
– The Teen’s Vida Nueva will be held from 16-18 Dec 11.
– These events will be held at the 8th Army Religious Retreat Center in Seoul. For additional information and applications, please visit www.seoultresdias.org.

The monthly Men’s Prayer Breakfast will be Saturday, 17 Sep 11, at 8 a.m. in the Korean Fellowship Hall Cafeteria. This will be a specioccasion in that fathers are encouraged to invite their sons to join them at this special prayer breakfast.
There will be a Youth Lock-In at the English Sanctuary on Friday, 16 Sep 11, beginning at 7 p.m. It will end Saturday morning at 12 p.m.
A Leadership Team Meeting will be held next Sunday after the worship service.

SCBC will be having a 4th of July cookout (Monday, July 4th). The cookout will be held at 4 pm on base at the Osan Pavilions. There will be time to go to the base’s Liberty Fest as well for their activities & fireworks (9 pm). There is a $5 fee/person for food, but it is waived if you bring a dish of your own to be shared. People who do not have military IDs will be signed on, but must stay with the person who signs you on. For more info, please contact Steve at 010-9281-8306.
There will be a parent-youth meeting held on June 5th. It will be after that day’s morning worship service. All parents and students in junior and senior high are invited. Contact Steve for more info at 010-9281-8306.
The Women’s Recipe Exchange Fellowship has been rescheduled for next Saturday, May 28th. It’ll be held at 11 am at the Jock House (Switzen Apts. Bldg. 105, Apt. 901). All ladies are invited (bring a friend)! For more info, please contact Michelle at 010-9919-2995.
A Men’s Retreat will be held later this month from May 29-30. It will be held 2 hours away at Osesan Natural Forest and is 15,000 won/person. Men can have the option of sleeping in tents or cabins and will have various activities to enjoy like fishing or hiking.
