The Youth Winter Retreat was held this past week! A big “thank you” to all those who helped make the retreat possible and helped as volunteers. Please be in prayer that God will continue to work in the hearts of our students.

2008 Statements of Gift Giving to SCBC for tax purposes can be obtained from the Main Church Office. Please make this request to the secretary in the office. Normally, someone will be there that can assist with English.
If you are someone with a musical talent or ability and would like to serve the Lord with it, please see Marvin Jock or Megan Davidson! They can answer any questions you may have about getting involved at SCBC in that way. Currently, there is a particular need for a bass guitar player for the praise band.
This week, there will be a special combined Korean-American Christmas Eve service on Wednesday. The service will be in the Korean sanctuary at 6:30 pm. Also, special combined Korean-American Christmas Day services will be held. They will be in the Korean sanctuary & English translation receivers will be available upon request. Service times are 9 am & 11 am.
There will be a special combined Korean-American New Year’s Eve service on Wednesday, Dec. 31st. The service will be in the Korean sanctuary at 11 pm.
All the children for our Angel Tree orphanage outreach have been sponsored! What a great, compassionate response! If you are someone who has pledged to sponsor a child, please remember to bring your wrapped Christmas gift to the church by Dec. 17th. The delivery of the gifts will be Dec. 20th. A Leadership Team planning meeting will be this Saturday, Dec. 13th. Leadership Team members should plan at arriving at the church parking lot at 8:30 a.m.
A Family Christmas Party will be held Dec 20th at 10 am – 11:45 am in the Library Room at the church! Families with elementary children and preschoolers are invited to come and celebrate Christ! You have the opportunity to do an Angel Tree outreach with our local orphanage by sponsoring a child with a gift for Christmas that will be delivered to him/her. ICS will be having a Mission Trip Christmas Dinner on Tuesday, December 2nd at 6 pm. It will be held at the school and costs 20,000 won. All proceeds go to help students go on a missions trip to either India or the Philippines. For tickets, please contact Laurie Lambert or ICS at 031-651-1376.
You are invited to ICS’ free Christmas musical entitled “It’s A Wonder-full Life” on Dec. 9th at the Pyeongtaek Youth Center. It will feature K-6th grade students as well as the high school choir. This Christ-centered play starts at 6:30 pm. Contact ICS at 031-651-1376 for more info.
On Dec. 1 & 2, you have the opportunity to join our Korean brothers and sisters to make kimchi at the church! This kimchi will be boxed and distributed to needy people in our church as well as in the community. Please consider this community outreach! See Marvin Jock for more details.

The Fall Festival is this Saturday (Nov. 1)! It will be from 12 - 4 pm in the church parking lot. There will be food, games, bouncy inflatables, and fun for the whole family. On Sunday, November 23rd, SCBC will be having a special Thanksgiving meal to remember all that God has done for us. This will be a time of singing, prayer, and public sharing. Next Sunday, SCBC will have two special guest speakers. In the English service, Dr. Richard Blackaby will be speaking. He is the president of Blackaby Ministries International and co-author of many books, including Experiencing God: Revised Edition. His father, Dr. Henry Blackaby, the author of the well known Experiencing God series, will be speaking at the 12 pm Korean service. Please invite a friend to hear these well known men of God!
A pianist is needed for playing on Sunday mornings during the worship service. If you have an interest or would like to recommend someone, please contact Marvin Jock at 010-8248-1048.
Kid’s Club is a ministry of the church for children between K-4th grades during the worship service. This class time is voluntary but also encouraged. Please contact Katie for more info at 010-8698-2149.

Beginning 19 October, parents of a child attending Sunday School (K-3rd) or Kid’s Club will need to pick up their child when those classes end. They will remain in the classroom until a parent picks him/her up. This is for the safety of our children & accountability. Please remember to pick up your child after the class. Thank you!
There will be a church membership meeting in the English sanctuary at 4:15 p.m. Suinday, 19 Oct. All church members are encouraged to attend this important meeting.
There will be a hot dog fundraiser after the worship service Sunday, 19 Oct. All funds will go towards the women’s ministry. Please come out & support your church!
The Youth Volunteer’s Leaders’ Meeting will be on Oct. 26th after the worship service.
