SCBC’s summer VBS will be held August 3-7th! Our theme this year is “Operation Space: A Close Encounter With God’s Word!” (Answers in Genesis based) This outreach event is open to 3-12 year olds! Invite your friends! If you would like to volunteer to help in this outreach, please see Katie Barron.
This year’s summer mission trip is tentatively scheduled for July 12th -20th. The team will be going to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. An informational meeting will take place on March 29th at 12:15 pm in the sanctuary. The mission team this year will be limited to 10-15 people, so don’t wait to express interest! ICS junior & senior high students are going to the Philippines during Spring Break to assist a local mission work. They are seeking the following medical supply donations: band-aids, gauze, ointment, bandages, etc. You can place these items in a Ziploc bag and drop it off in the lobby in the designated container. See Sharon Harvey for more details. Please be in prayer for the mission team. The trip is Apr. 3- 11th.

On April 12th, SCBC will be having a special Resurrection Sunday Sunrise Service at 6:30 am. Breakfast will follow at 7:30 am. This is all at the church. Sunday School will be at 9 am & the morning worship service will be at 10:15 am as usual. We encourage you make extra effort to invite a friend to the morning worship service that day using the VIP Commitment Card. There will be a fellowship meal in the English sanctuary at 4 pm for your specially invited friends as well that day. Plan on coming out to celebrate & worship our resurrected Lord!
There will be a special Good Friday Service on April 10th. It will be a combined English-Korean service and is to be held at 8 pm. The Lord’s Table will be observed. English translation receivers will be available.
There will be an orphanage outreach held on Sunday, March 29th. Those interesting in being involved should meet in the church parking lot at 3 pm. There will be a cookout, games, and a time for personal involvement with the kids. For more information, please contact Michael Bender or Pastor Chapman.
